The Federation of New Zealand Netherlands Societies Inc. is the coordinating organization of all Dutch societies and organizations in New Zealand and has been set up in the interest of all Dutch migrants and familie. It was founded in 1966 and is governed by the National Council, a body of the Affiliated Societies, who meet once a year at the Annual National Council Meeting.

Kees recently celebrated 50 years in New Zealand and shared many of his expreiences in the publication of the Federation, ‘de Schakel’.

“The night of my first football practice, was a great experience for me to learrn about one of New Zealand’s most important sports activities. The biggest surprise came when I sa the football, I had never seen such a funny shaped ball.”
